The world No. 4 has been out of action with a wrist injury since September 20 and will face Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver in the first round.
Murray is the top seed for the event and has never played the world No. 75 before but said: "I've only played twice in nine weeks since the US Open so I wouldn't be surprised if I play poorly to begin with.
"I will try and ease my way back in but normally it takes a bit of time to get back into playing your best but I feel good.
"I will do my best but Daniel is a good, solid player. He's come through a bit later than me but it will be a tough match.
"He's played well in the last month in a lot of Challengers so I will have to see how it goes."
