LIZZIE Simmonds and Andrew Willis both won golds at the Mare Nostrum meeting in Canet.

Simmonds claimed the 100m backstroke in 1:00.71 while Willis looked strong to win the 200m breaststroke in 2:12.66.

The British squad are in heavy training ahead of this summer's Games but Fran Halsall still produced creditable performances to win 50m freestyle silver, behind key Olympic rival, Sweden's Therese Alshammer, and bronze in the 100m butterfly.

Chris Walker-Hebborn edged British team-mate Liam Tancock off the podium to win bronze in the 100m backstroke while Caitlin McClatchey and Jo Jackson finished third in the 200m freestyle and 800m freestyle respectively.
