LIZZIE Simmonds continued her recent strong form with another Mare Nostrum victory in Monaco.

Simmonds, who won two golds in Canet earlier this week, was untroubled in the 200m backstroke as she clocked 2:09.10 to finish ahead of Canada's Sinead Russell.

British team-mate Fran Halsall settled for silver in the 100m butterfly, finishing just over a second behind Canada's Katerine Savard in 59.99.

Liam Tancock also won silver in the men's 100m backstroke, Australia's Ben Treffers beating him to the wall.
