GREAT Britain's men's water polo team registered their fourth win in five at the LEN European B Championships in Lugano to secure a semi-final spot.

Alex Parsonage and Scott Carpenter led the attack to subject Poland to a heavy 13-5 defeat.

Great Britain now bypass the quarter-final stage after finishing top of their group, only slipping to defeat against Georgia, and move straight into the last four.

"Throughout the week the team have been very consistent and strong," said assistant manager Joanna Wray.

"They never let their opposition control matches."

The win also earns Great Britain a spot at the European Championship qualifying tournament next April, with the finals taking place in Croatia in August.
