Federer and Nadal sent packing from Montreal Masters
NEITHER Roger Federer or Rafeal Nadal will be in the semi-finals at the Rogers Cup after both were ousted on a night of high drama in Montreal.

Federer, in his first tournament since winning Wimbledon five weeks ago and becoming a father of twins, was beaten by France’s Jo Wilfried Tsonga.
Nadal – who has missed ten weeks with an injury to his troublesome knees – was brushed aside by Juan Martin del Potro.
And their defeats leave Great Britain’s Andy Murray – an unconvincing quarter-final winner over Russia’s Nikolay Davydenko – as the top seed remaining.
He will also assume Nadal's position as world number two when the ATP Tour rankings are revised next week.
"The knees were very good, I’ve no problems there,” said Nadal, following his 7-6, 6-1 defeat.
"But after two months out of competition it's tough to play at that level.
"Overall I have to be happy with the tournament. Juan Martin is playing very well but I thought if I could win the first set I could relax a little in the second and try again in the third. But it was tough."
Nadal’s loss, considering his recent injury troubles, was perhaps no surprise but the manner of Federer’s defeat was shocking, with the start of his US Open defence just a few weeks away.
The world number one – unbeaten in more than 20 matches - lost a first set tie-break to Tsonga but bounced back to level the match, dropping just one game in a dominant second set performance.
He then held a 5-1 lead in the decider before the Frenchman stormed back to take an improbable topsy-turvy 7-6, 1-6, 7-6 victory.
"I don't know what happened. It's a tough match because it was either very close or very one-sided," said Federer.
"Obviously that doesn't make it easy on the rhythm.
“Jo does make a return for an hour then he puts in a few and he’s suddenly back. It’s a pity, I should never have allowed it to happen and I'm pretty disappointed."
Tsonga also admitted his surprise at the victory.
“If you are 5-1 down in the last set when Roger is playing well there are not many solutions," he said.
"It's a good thing for me. It's amazing to change this match."
Tsonga will now play Murray while Del Potro faces Andy Roddick, who beat fourth seed Novak Djokovic 6-4, 7-6.
