Fogg has gone from strength to strength since his first open water swim in 2008 reaching the World Championships in Rome 12 months on and finishing 17th.
The 22-year-old looks set to deliver on his potential this year having qualified for the World Championships by taking gold at the LEN Open Water Cup in Israel at the start of May.
Fogg's victory in the Red Sea was his first since taking the open water plunge and he believes a second will be well within his grasp in Canada in July.
"I have done about ten open water swims now so I am still new to the event. However, every race gives you so much more experience and that helps quite a lot," said Fogg.
"I feel there is still a lot in me and that I have a lot to give in terms of open water swimming - I have come a long, long way and I am only getting better.
"Hopefully this year at the World Championships I can put in a good performance and finish a lot higher than I did in Rome.
"My experience has really grown and I feel I am capable of going into these races and finishing high and even picking up medals.
"I won in Israel and that was the first proper win I have had and that has given me a lot of confidence and I just have to keep focussed when I swim it again."
