Simmonds claims gold number three - and another world record
ELLIE Simmonds claimed her third title in four days as British swimmers continued their gold rush at the IPC World Swimming Championships in Eindhoven.

After seven golds yesterday, they settled for a mere four on Wednesday to take their championship tally to an impressive 12.
Simmonds produced a storming final 100m to move from sixth to first in the S6 200m medley, her freestyle leg powered her victory as she carved two seconds off the world record to touch home in 3.09.24
"That race was hard," said Simmonds. "I was so nervous before the race because I really wanted to go and win and get the record.
"I am really happy to be on top of the podium again. I went into it thinking that it was going to need a world record to win that race and to do that is great."
Sascha Kindred also lowered his own world record to claim a predicted victory in the SM6 200m medley discipline he has long dominated .
"I really wanted that record," said Kindred, after posting 2:42.18.
"It was a good race and I am happy to have got in and come away with the gold medal and the record.
"I have been involved in the sport for so long but I love what I am doing and not many people can say that they do what they love.
"I have been undefeated in the race since 1999 and I am really happy to have continued my success here."
Elsewhere Jonathan Fox got off to an explosive start in the S7 100m backstroke, winning his first World Championship title in a new world record time of 1:11.94.
"World Champion sounds really good to me," he said.
"I wanted that world record so much and I just went into the race hungry for it. I went into this meet wanting success and I am happy with how my racing has gone."
And finally there was also success for Daniel Pepper, who underlined his impressive qualifying form to win the S14 100m breaststroke.
