Keothavong laughs off double bagel defeat at French Open
ANNE Keothavong has claimed she will 'laugh off' her double bagel defeat to world number one Dinara Safina.

The battle between the British number one and world number one, at the French Open at Roland Garros, was certainly one-sided.
It's was over in just 61 minutes, last year's beaten finalist advancing to the second round, 6-0, 6-0.
"It's frustrating because I know I am capable of better - although I'm not going to slit my wrists about it," said Keothavong.
"No-one likes to lose by that scoreline, especially on a show court at a Grand Slam tournament, but I can take the jokes that are coming and laugh them off.
"Things like this happen, you have to move on, learn from them and forget about them.
"She is the number one player in the world, she can do that to anyone, unfortunately today it was me but I certainly wasn't intimidated by her.
"I've had a good season and that's what I need to remember going into the grass court season, which is one of my favourite times of the year."
Safina will now face fellow Russia Vitalia Diatchenko in the second round and admitted Keothavong never stood a chance.
"I was completely on my game," she said.
"I knew she had played well recently, especially in Warsaw, but I was very solid and confident.
"It's hard to lose by that scoreline, I know how it feels as well."

Why can't you say something positive?
It's very easy to criticize but Anne has improved greatly and while this defeat was a big disappointment she will learn from it. She's probably lost to the next French Open champion.

She might laugh it off but its not a laughing matter. All three beaten in the first round - ak and kob winning just two games between them and south choking against a 16-year old when she had the match in the bag. These three will never be top ten players in a world of sundays. The only thing we can hope is they establish themselves in the top 100 and give our young girls - like laura robson and heather watson something to aim at and bypass.
