HALF ten? Most people would agree that's no time to be finishing a tennis match but then Andy Murray has never been one to care what most people think.

The Scot enjoyed a sparkling 2009. Having bagged six titles - the most of any player during 2009 - and become the first Brit to reach number two in the world, it was his best yet.

But it was Murray's grit and determination under the lights of the new centre court roof to defeat an inspired Swiss opponent in the fourth round of Wimbledon - sadly not Roger Federer on this occasion - that sticks in the memory.

Let's hope he can build on

Let's hope he can build on the successes of 2009 - it would be great to see him win a Grand Slam title.

Being around at the same

Being around at the same time as other good players is no reason for not winning a slam. I'm not slating Murray but every player has to beat what's out in front of them and, at the end of the day, those who are remembered will be the grand slam winners. Not a world number two.

Although he has had his best

Although he has had his best year yet in 2009, do you think he is really capable of winning a Grand Slam while there are so many exceptional players around - Federer, Nadal etc.? Is there potential for enough further improvement or might he just be scuppered by being around at the same time as too many other good players?
