The world's number two junior raced to victory in just 63 minutes, winning in a carbon copy of her first round triumph over Canada's Katarena Paliivets, 6-3, 6-2.

The 15-year old schoolgirl, who lost to Daniela Hantuchova in her senior Wimbledon debut last week, will now face Holland's Quirine Lemoine in the last 16 while Tom Farquarson is the only remaining British player in the boys' singles.

He advanced past Belgium's Arthur De Greef after his opponent retired, although the British teenager had just won the first set without dropping a game.

Meanwhile, Heather Watson bounced back from her girls’ singles defeat with a first round girls' doubles win.

Watson, British junior number two, and Polish partner Magda Linette have high hopes of success at the All England Club.

They were beaten finalists at the French Open at Roland Garros earlier this month and have been seeded sixth.

And if Watson is successful, she’ll be the first British winner of the event since 1994.

However, the 17-year old needed to fight to advance against Russia’s Polina Leykina and Anna Arina Marenko.

They raced to the first set in just 26 minutes but then surrendered the next almost as quickly, scarring their stats with a run of double faults.

But they bounced back in style to win the last and secure a 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 victory

“It was superb to get the win after the disappointments of my singles,” said Watson.

“We are playing really well at the moment. We let it slip a bit in the second set and in the final set we were just mentally fighting and not playing the doubles we know we can.

“It definitely makes up for my singles disappointment. I’ve got lots of confidence in my doubles and I really didn’t want to go out first round.”
