The two-time Paralympic champion cruised to victory in Australia, winning all three of his round robin matches before beating USA's world number two David Wagner 6-2, 7-6 in Saturday's final.

Wagner was the only person to claim a set from Norfolk during the tournament and threatened to take the final to a decider when he rolled off four straight games to lead 5-3 in the second set.

But the Brit recovered to force a tie-break which he won 7-4 to secure his third consecutive Australian Open title and his 17th major crown.

Great Britain's Laura Robson lost her second consecutive junior girls' singles final earlier on Saturday while Lucy Shuker and Australian partner Daniela Di Toro were edged out in straight sets by Florence Gravellier and Aniek Van Kout in the wheelchair doubles final.

Andy Murray takes on world number one Roger Federer in the men's singles final on Sunday morning.
