Olympic hopefuls to enjoy the best in in-flight entertainment

THERE is nothing worse than a long-haul flight with crappy films - but the Vancouver-bound British Olympic team needn't worry.

BIG AIR: Olympic hopeful Ben Kilner will be enjoying BA's in-flight entertainment on the nine hour flight to Vancouver
British Airways will be showing a classic as they fly the team across the Atlantic - screening Cool Runnings, in which the late great John Candy stars as the coach of the Jamaican bobsleigh team at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
Now you only have to hope that Nicola Minichiello can get her lucky egg through customs.
Jamaica's appearance in Calgary almost made as many international headlines as Eddie ‘The Eagle' Edwards, and a film of his exploits - reportedly starring Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint - is set to go into production later this year.
But given BOA performance director Sir Clive Woodward's rather trenchant views of Britain's most famous ski-jumper, don't expect similar treatment for this movie on the flight to Sochi in four years time.
Meanwhile, the Scots in the team should be pleased with the inflight meal as well - roasted fillet of beef with haggis.
